Giving Back This Christmas: Rugby, Community & Ending the Year with Heart

Updated: Oct 28

ree

As we head towards the festive season and wrap up an incredible year at 360 Rugby, we wanted to do something a little different—something that reflects the values we teach on the pitch: teamwork, compassion, and looking out for one another.

This year, we’ll be donating every single penny from our final sessions of 2025 to Feedbourners — a fantastic Eastbourne-based charity providing free hot meals every Wednesday for anyone who’s hungry, no questions asked.

Feedbourners is a shining example of community spirit in action, and we are incredibly proud to support them.

💛 Why Feedbourners?

Our very own S volunteers with Feedbourners, helping cook warm, hearty meals for those who may otherwise go without. It’s grassroots kindness, run by ordinary people doing extraordinary things for others — and we want to play our part too.

We’re also grateful for the kindness shown within our rugby family. Generous food & protein donations from local businesses — including Craig from C.S. Butchers (former Eastbourne Rugby Player!) and one of our OG 360 Rugby dads, David from Burts Catering Butchers — show just how far a caring community can go.

This is what we love most: people coming together, offering time, skills, and kindness to make a difference.

360 Rugby isn’t a franchise or a big corporate programme. It’s just us running sessions with passion, purpose, and genuine love for helping young players thrive.

We may be small — but small can be mighty. And this year, we want to extend the positive energy from our sessions beyond the pitch and into our community.

If we remain fully booked (like the last few terms – thank you!), we hope to raise over £200 for Feedbourners. No extra cost. No extra fundraising. Just rugby with heart.

Want to Help a Little More?

There is absolutely no obligation to do anything extra — booking the term alone helps support this cause.

But if you’d like to add a little festive kindness, you’re welcome to bring an item along to the final session, such as:

Sweet treats

Toiletries or hygiene products

Warm accessories (gloves, socks, hats)

S will personally deliver any donated items when she next cooks with Feedbourners.

Let’s Finish the Year with Purpose

This Christmas, we want to show our players that rugby isn’t just about tackles and tries — it’s also about teamwork, empathy, and making a positive difference.

Thank you for being part of something bigger than just a sports session. Together, we’re building confident players and a community that cares.

Here’s to a joyful end to the year — on and off the pitch. 💛🏉✨

Book now for the full term and join us in spreading festive cheer through rugby, kindness, and community spirit!
